Recommended to kids 9-12. In this great sequel to "Gone-Away Lake", Portia and Foster are back at Gone-Away... But this time they own their very own house there! After purchasing the Villa Caprice (Mrs. Brace-Gideon's house) as their summer house, its time to get it back in shape. Aunt Minnehaha informs them that Mrs. Brace-Gideon had a safe in the house, and Julian goes on several missions to find it. As in the first one, this book follows the children through the summer. Both girls and boys will enjoy this book.
