Jimmy Spoon loves horses, so he asks for one for his birthday. Instead of getting a horse, he is asked to work in his dad's store. He is upset, but works there anyway. One day, he meets two Shoshoni boys, and agrees to follow them to their camp. That leads to a series of very, very exciting adventures. This book is one of the best books EVER!!! I love love love it! I have read it probably about five times. It is so exciting, and Kristiana Gregory makes you feel like you are right there with Jimmy the whole way. Boys will love the adventure, suspense, and Indians in this book, but I loved it, so some girls will enjoy also.
