Gone-Away Lake is great book, that is very fun and adventurous. Portia and her brother Foster are on their way to spend the summer in the country with their cousin Julian. Little do they know what surprises are in store for them! Imagine discovering a small community, across a used-to be lake which is now all dried up! Ruins of once elegant houses are incredibly exciting! This book follows them along with dear Mr. Payton, and sweet Mrs. Cheever through their summer. Great book for both girls and boys.
