#14 The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place: The Mysterious Howling by MaryRose Wood

Great book for kids ages 10-12. In this creative book, Penelope Lumley is traveling from the Swanburne Academy for Poor, Bright Females, to Ashton Place to interview for the position of governess. When she arrives, she finds out that the three children are howling, half-naked, growling savages. It seems that Lord Frederick found them naked in the woods, acting like a bunch of wolf pups. She easily gets the unwanted job. Penelope has her work cut out for her. First she must teach the children (who were given the names Alexander, Beowulf, and Cassiopeia) English! Fortunately, they are fairly quick learners. But soon she has something far greater to worry about. With a crazy party, a mysterious old coachman, and a huge country manor, who knows what will happen next? This book has a way of ending with you begging for more. That's why the author wrote The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place: The Hidden Gallery. Good for both boys and girls.
