#12 Masterpiece by Elise Broach

When I read the summary of this book, and saw that it was about a beetle, i wasn't sure whether or not I wanted to read it, but I decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did. It is a great book.
Recommended for ages 10-12. Marvin is a beetle. He lives behind the kitchen cupboard in a house with a boy named James. When he draws a little masterpiece for James for his birthday, everybody thinks that James did it. That is the start of a long and confusing adventure, eventually leading to a art heist.  Elise Broach has written an awesome book, that is very real, adventurous, and clever. Girls and boys will love this book.
